Review : 69 Million Things I Hate About You - Book #1 Winning the Billionaire Series - Kira Archer - October 2017

I have to admit that one of the main reasons, I got this book is the title reminded me of one of my favorite movies - 10 Things I Hate About You. Kiersten Abbot had been working as an assistant to Cole Harrington's assistant Marie until one day she was promoted as the assistant had quit after she was told to move her wedding date for one of Cole's speaking appointments. Kiersten has heard terrible things about Cole, and now she must make an impression to keep her job.  Cole has never felt more attracted to a woman than he has Kiersten and yet to create distance, he makes her job barely bearable and calls her a different name each time he sees her. Kiersten and her friends are big Lotto players and buy a ticket each week. This week they strike it big and splitting the pot between the three of them, they are each the proud owners of 69 Million Dollars.  Imagine winning that much money - what would you do if you won 69 Million Dollars? For Kiersten, she decides to play out her last days as Cole's assistant, trying to get fired. There is a pool going at work, to see how long Cole will last before he fires her. Cole discovers the pool and thinks two can play at this game and so the battle of the wits begins. This was quite a fun read as reading the different ways one can try and get fired. What will happen though when Cole and Kiersten decide that they love each other and maybe the perfect couple for one another? Of course with any romance novel, we have the "sad part," and I was like really, Cole - you think she would sabotage that for you when she knows how much it meant to you? Come on, grow a pair and tell her how you feel. Can Cole win back Kiersten and tell her how he actually loves her for who she is and vice versa ?
