Review : Butterfly Love from Above - Melissa Stuart - February 2022

Based on a true story, this was such an adorably cute picture book and I fell head over heels for the cover artwork too. The book starts with our little girl who had a butterfly as a friend named Twinkle. That butterfly kept her happy and they danced and played together and became the best of friends. A bit like Charlotte and Wilbur from Charlotte's Web. One day, Twinkle disappeared and our little girl's heart broke, she started to fall into a bit of grief and depression as her friend was gone and the happiness was no longer there. Her mum decides to buy her a horse named Luna and Luna becomes her new best friend and just like that it also opens the door for new friends from school and soon our little girl is full of happiness and has a nice group of friends and a beautiful horse named Luna.  This book also shows readers the healing powers of animals and is such a beautiful heartwarming story with gorgeous illustrations accompanying the story that can't help but make you smile. This book is perfect for girls aged 5-9 years, it can be read with boys but I think girls will relate more to the beauty of the story and characters.
