Review: Worst Nanny Ever - Angela Casella

Review: Worst Nanny Ever - Book #2 Babes of Brewing Series - Angela Casella - September 2025

I’ll be honest—this cover had me at hello. Paired with the cheeky title Worst Nanny Ever, I knew I was diving into a rom-com that would tick all my boxes. I’ve always had a soft spot for nanny stories, probably because I nearly became one myself after leaving school. My dad, ever the realist, hired a career counsellor to steer me elsewhere—and here I am today, blogging instead of babysitting. Still, that “what if” lingers, and books like this let me live out the alternate path.

Angela Casella delivers a delightful single dad romance that’s equal parts heartwarming and hilarious. Travis, our broody hero, suddenly finds himself with a seven-year-old genius named Ollie—who, by the way, completely stole my heart. Ollie is precocious, opinionated, and knows exactly what he wants: Hannah as his nanny. Not just any nanny, mind you—Hannah is loud, messy, and unapologetically herself. She’s everything Travis isn’t, which makes their dynamic all the more fun to watch unfold.

The opposites-attract trope is strong here, and Angela Casella plays it beautifully. Travis is desperate to connect with his son, and hiring Hannah is his first chaotic step toward that goal. Of course, sparks fly, boundaries blur, and the inevitable question arises: Can Hannah go from “worst nanny ever” to something much more permanent?

What I loved most—besides Ollie’s scene-stealing sass—was the emotional depth beneath the comedy. Travis’s vulnerability, Hannah’s resilience, and Ollie’s fierce loyalty create a trio you can’t help but root for. The romance is sweet, the banter is sharp, and the ending left me grinning like a fool.

If you’re a fan of single dad romances, quirky heroines, and kids who run the show, Worst Nanny Ever is your next must-read. It’s a feel-good romp with heart, humor, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.
