Review: The Hooker and The Hermit - LH Cosway and Penny Reid - February 2015

Have you ever picked up a book and started reading it and found yourself , chuckling away and thinking OMG this is awesome , I wonder if the authors have written anything else and if so I have to one-click them. That for me was The Hooker and The Hermit and before I start people let me point out that it's not Hooker as in Prostitute or Escort but Hooker as in the Rugby position and the Hermit isn't as in a Homeless Bag Lady type person but someone is who quite frankly shy and would rather keep to herself and do her own thing , than hang out with the rest of the world.  The Hooker and the Hermit, would have to be one of my favourite books that I have read for 2015. In this particular book we meet Annie who is quiet, shy and eccentric but keeps to her Hermit self in reality but behind closed doors she becomes the top blogger and social media extraodinaire SocialMedialite , a hobby blog where she features celebrity look-a-likes, fashion blunders and DILFS. What will happen though when one of her new clients happens to be her latest victim on the blog and he's not very happy about it . Ronan Fitzpatrick is a Rugby League player who after a few bad stunts is in the limelight as a Bad boy and needs his reputation tended too. If that wasn't all , he is now been featured on SocialMedialite's site which definitely doesn't thrill him one bit.  Annie has been hired to improve Ronan's profile and personality - publicise him and boost his public image.  As the story goes along Ronan finds himself falling for Annie and goes out of his way to Woo her but what will Annie do and react as judging by her emails from Ronan - he isn't too keen on her alter-ego of SocialMedialite. Can Annie keep the two separate and date Ronan or what will happen when he discovers the truth and will Annie lose everything she has ever loved and cared for ? Will Ronan feel betrayed or will he give Annie a second chance at happiness after a life of disappointment ?
Find out in this amazing read , that everyone who loves Cinderella type stories and books set in the PR/ Social Media world will enjoy.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost.
