Review : Keeping Secrets in Seattle - Brooke Moss - February 2013
If you are like me , then we all love our romance tales but every now and again we get bored of all the same lovey-dovey stuff and wish for them to have a bit of oomph to them and that is what Brooke Moss's story Keeping Secrets in Seattle gives us. The story starts out with the two best friends being hopelessly in love with each other but of course never telling each other how they feel. Then the guy in this case Gabe meets a girl named Alicia and proposes to her and expects his best friend Violet to be all good about it, but of course Violet can't be as she is head over heels in love with Gabe , she has been all her life. To get Gabe out of her head , Violet starts dating Landon - and of course the closer they get, the less she thinks about or tries to about Gabe. Unfortunately of course, fate has it in for this pair and keeps chucking Violet and Gabe in each others paths. Of course, knowing where this is going after an up and down story , Gabe and Violet end up together and live happily ever after but here's what made this one different was that Gabe and Violet dated back in high school and broke up after what Gabe thought was cheating but we discover a whole lot more went on between Violet and Cameron - Gabe's best guy friend and the reason they broke up. Will the hard truth of what really happened between Cameron and Violet come out and will Gabe still be able to look and feel the same way towards Violet when he discovers the awful truth ?
Keeping Secrets in Seattle is a fun romance with a bit of oomph and shows readers that sometimes in order to really discover the person you are with, you have to dig deeper under the layers to find their "real selves".
