Review: Never Knowing - Chevy Stevens - July 2011
One of my favourite genres to read is Mysteries and an author that I have liked most of her books except for one is Chevy Stevens. Something that I love about her books is even though they aren't written as a series so that reader's can read them as stand-alones is the fact that she has kept one of the main characters alive and playing a part in all her books. The psychiatrist Nadine. Nadine's story featured huge in the book Always Watching. In Never Knowing , we meet Sara who is a patient of Nadine's and Chevy Stevens has written the book in the format of Doctor Sessions - each session is a different chapter. In Never knowing , we read as Sara was adopted as a baby and longs to know who her birth parents are -after requesting her birth records she discovers her mother's name is Julia Laroches , a professor of Art at the local University. All this time she has been living around the corner. However, her mother isn't who she is saying she is as thirty-five years ago her mother was known as Karen Christenson - the third victim of the Campsite Killer and the only one to get away. Soon Sara finds herself caught up in the world of The Campsite Killer especially since it is hinted that he is her biological father . When things start to get complicated , can Sara protect her family as well as learn more about her path or will the two paths cross and end up in a nightmare not worth living ?
Find out in Never Knowing by Chevy Stevens - in which we learn that sometimes "Never Knowing" the truth can be the one thing saving you from being put in harms way.
