Review: Black Box - Cassia Leo

Review: Black Box - Cassia Leo - March 2014

When I first saw the title to this book, it made me want to read it immediately. To me, the title of Black Box makes me think of two things - the black box in an aeroplane which as I was reading this story , I was not sure how I would cope as of course all we have been hearing on the news the past few weeks is the crash of the Malaysian Airline. The second which is still a sort-of sad song but is so catchy is the Black Box song written and sung by New Zealander Stan Walker who won one of the Idol programmes - think it was Australian Idol. This book was amazing and so heart-wrenching as we meet two characters Crush Slayer - yes that's his real name as he changed it via deed poll and Mikki Gladstone. The two of them met three years ago on what was to be the worst day of Mikki's life and one which would set their next meeting in motion. Three years ago, Crush was going to do something he regretted and Mikki ended up raped and beaten. He saved her, then they went their separate ways. Now three years later, they are both headed to LA for different reasons - Mikki's is to kill herself once and for all. Can this chance meeting be the one that will turn both their lives around and save them both or has fate got a different plan up their sleeve when their flight goes down , down , down.
Find out in this awesome new book by Cassia Leo. One that all should read :) Very worthwhile.
