Review: Find the Girl - Lucy and Lydia Connell
Review: Find the Girl - Lucy and Lydia Connell - July 2018
From Instagram twins Lucy and
Lydia Connell comes this modern contemporary Cinderella type tale that if it
had been made into a film, I could imagine the Olsen Twins playing the main
characters. In Find the Girl, we have identical teenage Twins Nina and Nancy.
They are similar in the fact they look the same and have the same initials, but
their personalities couldn't be more different. Nina is quiet, shy and only has
one friend and loves classical music and dreams of studying to become a
classical pianist. Nancy on the other hand is an extrovert, popular and an Instagram
model and dreams of being famous. This book starts with Nancy being obsessed
with a band and their lead singer - Chase. She would do anything to be with him
as he is her dream guy. When a double booking happens with Nina and Nancy they
both end up going to each other's events. One thing leads to another and Nina
meets Chase and chats away with him. The clock strikes twelve and Nina leaves
and heads back to reality but she has left her purse behind containing her bank
card with only her initials on the card. This leaves Chase to start searching
for his perfect girl only for the wrong twin to think it is her. What will
happen is a Cinderella tale where Chase must track down his perfect girl using
the hashtag #Findthegirl whereas, on Nina's side, she must keep it quiet from
Nancy that she is the one Chase is looking for. What will happen though when
both worlds collide and the truth is revealed? Will Nancy be able to forgive
Nina or will this be the final straw that breaks the twin's already strained
bond? Will Chase be able to get his dream girl and is there another band member
that has caught Nancy's eyes?
