Review: Flight 171 - Amy Christine Parker - October 2022
I have been in a big reading slump lately, where nothing is grabbing me, especially romances. I have just felt so blah. Today, I wanted to read and I knew I just had to pick a thriller to keep me entertained. Flight 171 by Amy Christine Parker starts with a Would you rather die in a car crash or plane crash question. We then learn that a group of senior students are off to the slopes for Winter Break. Our main character Devon was also a twin and her sister died in a hit-and-run last Halloween. Her sister Emily was the good high achieving twin and Devon blamed herself thinking it should have been her who died not her sister. Since the death, Devon has tried to mold herself into Emily so as not to cause any more harm to her parents. On the plane, is an old lady who in disguise is a bit of a demonic presence and she is in dire need of a new host and has decided one of the students will be her new host. The thing is though that she wants them to nominate one person and if they don't do it within four hours she will kill them all. During the next four hours, the students will not only turn on one another and injuries and death will occur, but deep dark secrets and truths will be revealed - including one of the biggest ones in the book - which of the classmates killed Emily? If you are looking for a good thriller that has Final Destination crossed with Manifest vibes, then Flight 171 by Amy Christine Parker is the read for you.
