Review: Mother-Daughter Murder Night - Nina Simon
This book captured my attention from the
title as I imagined a mother/daughter duo with a game night but instead of
board games - it was murder. This book also had a very cozy mystery feel to it.
In The Mother Daughter Murder Night by Nina Simon, we have three generations of
females - grandmother Lana, daughter Beth, and granddaughter Jack aka
Jacqueline. Lana has Cancer and has gone to live with her daughter in the small
hometown of Elkhorn Slough, it is in the middle of nowhere and nothing exciting
normally happens. That is until Jack finds on one of her kayak tours, a dead
body and she is labelled as a suspect in the death of Ricardo Cruz. Lana wants
anything to clear her granddaughter and this is the most exciting thing that
has happened in a while. She misses the thrill. During the rest of the book,
Lana will work alongside a reluctant Beth and an excited Jack in trying to
solve the mystery of who killed Ricardo Cruz and in doing so will uncover a few
other crimes and secrets/lies along the way. Can the family members solve the
crime before the police can? Find out in this fun, cozy mystery read
"Mother-Daughter Murder Night' by Nina Simon.
