Review : What's Wrong with Me ? - Daree Allen - Feb 2012
Have you browsed the shelves to find an appropiate book for your daughter ? One that teaches them all about life but with the addition of Christian Values ? . Many tween and teen life guides follow too much on the worldly views of life like Wearing Make-Up , Having Sex and How babies are made . It doesn't discuss about courtship , premarital sex , teen pregnancies and what the reality is like for teen parents .
What's Wrong with Me is split into different sections each helping the reader in a particular area. The first is :
1) My Personal Life - Me, Myself and I which covers topics like Who Am I ? , Individuality, Looks , Emotions and Feelings , Eating Habits.
2)Your Relationships - Can you Relate covers topics like Your Family ( always remember that we can always choose our friends but we are stuck with our family members) , Friends , Guys , The big "S" - Sex .
3) Checking Your Status - talks about being single , about marriage and of course a big issue in today's society - Teen Pregnancy.
4)The World is Yours - this topic covers all those scary things that adults have to deal with and we do too once we hit the age bracket of 14+ - Work/Employment , Money, Church and to wrap up the book - again about Ourselves.

What's Wrong With Me?: A Girl's Book of Lessons Learned, Inspiration and Advice is an empowering self-help book for older teen girls in which the author weaves her memoir from 20 years of journaling with lessons that still ring true for girls today, about such topics as accepting their identity, adopting a healthy body image, dating relationships, dealing with toxic friends and family members, avoiding or delaying premarital sex, building self-esteem, developing a positive attitude, dressing for success, setting goals, spending money wisely, handling anger and depression, and embracing their singleness, discovering their life purpose, and keeping God first
