Review: Jaded by Love - Book #8 Written in the Stars Series - AJ Alexander - August 2020
As readers of The Phantom Paragrapher will know I have enjoyed the Written in the Stars Novellas as they are cute instant love stories with a bit more substance than some of the other instalove stories out there that seem to just contain sex. In Jaded by Love, we meet hippie and free-spirited Audrey and her daughter Love. Audrey grew up with free-spirited parents and learned how to read tarot cards. She based all of her life decisions on what the cards told her and after being burned once again with her love life, she has packed away the cards and headed to a smalltown where her college friend has a yoga studio and her daughter Love can dance.  In the smalltown lives Connor who is a single Dad to his daughter Jade, his wife died during childbirth and Connor hasn't felt the need to move on and date anyone, it has always been him and Jade against the world. That is until he meets Audrey and even better his daughter Jade has made fast-friends with Love. What will happen though when the cards are calling Audrey to check out her love life with Connor and she gets a bad card? Will she take it as a bad sign or will she realize that some things you have to take a chance on like love? Find out in Book #8 Jaded by Love in the Written in the Stars novella collection.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
