Review: Girl 11 - Amy Suiter Clarke

Girl, 11

Review: Girl , 11 - Amy Suiter Clarke - April 2021

After reading some romantic chick lit and having a hard time sinking my teeth into a book as I had a few DNFs before this book. I always find myself enjoying murder mysteries when I am in a reading slump. This book is a little bit different as the format is a podcast run by Elle. She is a true-crime fanatic and runs a cold case/ unsolved crime podcast and currently she is featuring the TCK Killer aka The Countdown Killer whom with each abduction and murder, the killer goes down in age. Starting with 21 years old. Elle is connected to the TCK killer and is convinced that after all these years he is back and picking up where he left off with the one who got away when she was 11 years old. However, the rest of the police departments and authorities aren't convinced as they think Elle is on an obsessive journey and wild goose chase. What will happen when someone close to Elle gets kidnapped? Will they listen to her then or will Elle's friend's daughter be Girl,11. The book is written as if we are reading a Podcast script which I did get used to but could annoy some readers. If you love true crime podcasts and serial killers, then Girl 11 by Amy Suiter Clarke is the read for you.
