Girls Who Lie (Mercy Harbor Thriller, #4)

Review: Girls Who Lie - Book #4 Mercy Harbor Thriller Series - Melinda Woodhall - November 2019

I have been enjoying the Mercy Harbor Series by Melinda Woodhall and Book #4 was as good as the others. We had our mystery element with a stalker who seems to be killing females whom he calls "liars" as they are females who are willing to step out on their prospective partners/ husbands and cheat. They are being targeted on a dating site that was a bit like Tinder which of course has IRL has had several murders connected to matches, one of the most famous in New Zealand is the Grace Milane case. During this book, we also read as Eden and Leo are busy preparing their nuptials and wedding as Eden finally said yes to Leo when he popped the question at the end of Book #3. However, when murders start occurring and again Eden and Reggie get involved as a couple of the shelter clients managed to escape from the killer and now in fear of their lives. What will happen though when it turns that the killer is close to everyone and that it soon will uncover a major conspiracy and cover-up that has been years in the hiding. The other storyline running through the book is who will be made chief after the old chief Kramer was arrested? Will Nessa be the first-ever female chief or are there still men who want the job to be part of an "old boys club"? Girls Who Lie was another great mystery by Melinda Woodhall which had you guessing till the end who the "real killer" was. I am now looking forward to trying Melinda Woodhall's other series Veronica Lee as if it's as good as the Mercy Harbor series, then I know I will enjoy it just as much.
