Review: Lighter - Gia Riley
Review: Lighter - Book #1 Begin Again Series- Gia Riley - February 2015
Growing up Sophie has always had to make sure she has control but as she got older, it never really worked how she wanted as she ended up with a father who didn't care about her as in his eyes her mother loved her more, and then she ended up in an abusive relationship. Now that she has managed to get away and go to college, Sophie feels like she is ready to reclaim her life and focus on her gymnastics - the one thing she has always been able to control as it's her thing and the one thing she has always excelled at. What Sophie didn't bank on though was having a roommate with a hot brother Kipton and college life especially when they start to invite her to parties. With no-one keeping her in check, Sophie is about to realize what freedom tastes like and soon she will find herself enjoying the high of the party life, but what happens when that freedom comes with the consequence of ruining her college life before it's even started as it starts to affect her gymnastics. During the novel, Sophie gets a concussion and injures herself, and is told to take it easy. We start to read and see that Sophie looks for other ways to control herself with purging hence where the title comes from "Lighter". Can Kipton prove to Sophie that he loves her as she is and that in his eyes she is perfect?
