Review: Catch The Girl - Melinda Woodhall
Review: Catch The Girl - Book #3 Mercy Harbor Series - Melinda Woodhall - July 2019
I have been thoroughly enjoying this
series by Melinda Woodhall as I have gotten to know the characters, the
storylines and plot are thrilling and the book keeps you captivated. At the end
of Book #2 we learned more about Barker's daughter, Taylor who disappeared
three years ago, and now more than ever, Pete Barker is determined to track her
down. The book then jumps to two girls running for their lives - Candy and
Ruth. We learn that they were part of a commune that has turned cult-like after
the death of Father Jed and his son Jacob - an ex-felon took over. Ruth was
given by Sister Marie - the address to Mercy House run by Eden Winthrop. Ruth
turns up shell-shocked and scared, Eden tries to help her with Reggie's help
and soon learns of her terrible ordeal especially when a dead body turns up and
then Ruth goes missing, Eden can't help to think it's connected. Meanwhile, we
read as Sister Marie is having a hard time at the commune and strange
things and evil are in the air. Can Eden with the help of her police buddies
Nessa and Janowski and ex-police officer Barker track down where Ruth and Candy
came from and the strange things happening before more are killed, especially
when it seems that DNA links back to a double-murder and kidnapping that
happened over twenty years ago. Also, will Barker be any closer to finding his
Taylor? On the love side it looks like Leo is ready to pop the question to Eden,
but what will happen when Eden's ex Nathan and business partner head back to
visit her and the kids in Mercy Harbor, Has Leo missed his opportunity? Find
out in Book #3 of this wonderful mystery/thriller series - Catch The Girl by
Melinda Woodhall.
