Review: Eight - Jane Blythe ( Count to Ten)
Review: Eight - Book #8 Count to Ten Series - Jane Blythe - April 2019
Needing something to hit the spot, I knew I would love Jane Blythe's book Eight as I enjoyed the Count to Ten series so far. I think it's not just the mystery and crime aspect that I enjoy in her series but the family/ friendship saga of the series. In Book #8 we learn that Sofia Xander (Ryan’s wife) has spent some of the money she got from her psycho family and put it to good use by creating a safe space for women and children - a family shelter. One of the client's husbands has arrived at the shelter and wants his family back and determined not to let anyone stand in his way of it. He ends up harming Laura and holding the female’s hostage. They finally all get out except of course Laura who is holding on to her dear life in ICU. The aftermath has left Sofia shaken and pulling away from her family as she had to shoot her gun. Can Ryan bring her back to their family or is this the end of their HEA? Someone is harming and killing all the women who were in the room during the hostage situation - will Sofia be next? It seems Paige always gets the short end of the stick as she encounters another attack. I really feel for her character. Is Daisy and her family finally free as the authorities track down the last of her relatives in the trafficking business? Find out all this and more in Book #8 aka Eight in Aussie author Jane Blythe's series "Count to Ten" and I am now looking forward to reading the next one - Nine.
