Review: Stranded - Dani Pettrey

Review: Stranded - Book #3 Alaskan Courage Series - Dani Pettrey - September 2013

Darcy St. James is back and this time she is putting on her old ways of undercover reporting as her friend Abby Walsh contacts her and lets her know that she has stumbled onto something big while aboard the cruise ship she has been stationed on as an Excursions reporter. The novel starts with Abby being discovered and thrown overboard and the help me call to Darcy. Next thing we know Darcy is headed to the ship as the new reporter to help write about the different adventure activities the ship has to offer and she has been given the role of shadowing one of the instructors who happens to turn out to be none other than Gage McKenna - the guy she got close to in the previous book Shattered. The two start out but Darcy is hiding something, she doesn't know how to swim. She can't afford to lose this position though as something dangerous has happened to Abby and no-one will tell Darcy anything, it's as if her friend just vanished into thin air. As the story goes on, we see the McKenna's start to help Darcy in her investigation - but once Darcy latches on and discovers some anomalies in stories, will she be the next one to disappear and become another overboard statistic ? This one unlike the others tended to focus more on the storyline of Abby and Darcy rather than a romantic link but we did see the chemistry continue to grow between Darcy and Gage. Also in Stranded , Kayden McKenna finally wrangles the truth about Jake's identity from Darcy and will she be surprised ?
Find out in Stranded - Book #3 of the awesome Christian Adventure/Suspense series "Alaskan Courage"
