VBT# Love this Life - Theresa Troutman

Review: Love this Life - Book #2 Love's Great Adventures Series - Theresa Troutman - June 2014

Tess and Sebastian have moved to NY and are happily settling into their new lives with Tess studying at NYU and working part-time at a bookstore and Sebastian working at an art gallery surrounded by amazing paintings and painters such as Andy Warhol. The book is set in the 1980's and starts in 1986 with Tess's Freshman Year and we read as Tess's eyes wander over to fellow classmate Dan who definitely wants to know Tess a lot more than just in the classroom. Tess loves Sebastian and dreams of marrying him one day, so why is she feeling lust and feelings for Dan ? Can the couple get over this bump as they have only just gotten engaged ? Sebastian still holding that air of finances wants the best of everything for him and Tess but can he learn to budget and handle life without the riches and finances he is used to since he has been disowned by his mother ? With a wedding coming up, Tess wants something nice and simple but will she feel pressured for something more grander and expensive when Sigourney - Sebastian's sister tries to help her organise and purchase items ?
The next chapter of the book is set in 1987 Tess's Sophomore year and she discovers that she is pregnant, she can't be though as she's not ready for a baby now. It seems though that Sebastian is overjoyed and ready to take on the challenge of fatherhood. As Tess gets more in denial of the baby and their relationship becomes rocky and torn - can the pair pull it together for the baby's sake as well as Tess's. The next and final chapter is four years later and they have a beautiful daughter called Mattie and it seems that with Tess's new job promotion , they will be headed for another of their Love's Great Adventures as they head over to the land of Paddington Bear.
This was a lovely contemporary romance novel with lots of ups and downs and no matter what the obstacles were thrown in their paths, it shows readers that if you really love someone with all your heart, you can really overcome anything and put it all down to one of Love's Great Adventures.
