Review: Dating Chaos -  A Model MD Novel - DW Brooks - August 2024

Jamieson is ready for life to finally be normal as she is just ready to move on from all the craziness she has had to handle in her life. Most recently, she ended up kidnapped when some people broke into her parent's forensic lab and killed someone. If it wasn't for the kidnapping, she wouldn't have met the handsome Detective Nick who she is excited about her first date. However, it looks like Jamieson's family just thrives on drama, as her mother's sister is back in town and she isn't afraid to open and air old dirty laundry which includes past decisions that Jamieson made eighteen years ago when she was a young model thrown into a world of drugs and alcohol. It's not just Jamieson who is going to have her world thrown upside down as her brother Jeremy is ready to date again and wants to make Isabella his girlfriend, but it looks like one of Jeremy's exes Rena isn't going to leave quietly as she puts her stalkerish behavior into action.  This book was a slow-paced read and is a character-orientated read and ends with a big bang with the ringing of the New Year.

  Review: Punk 57 - Penelope Douglas - October 2016 As soon as I read Bully by Penelope Douglas, I was in love with this author. So when she released a new one who had my favorite theme of penpals and that whole friend to lovers going on, I knew I had to read it. The book started out with a bit of background where we learned about how Misha and Ryen were placed together in a classroom project penpal program. The pair continues to write to each other right through the year, and then they take it to the next level and continue through the rest of their schooling. Fast forward to high school Misha is in a band and Ryen is out with her friends and they complete a scavenger hunt form. Ryen is not what Misha expected especially from her letters.
