This book captured my attention from Literally Yours PR as they had it on offer to review with the single word "Librarian", the second thing was this gorgeous cover. Though the cover gives off a historical fiction vibe, this was a more contemporary romance. The book starts with Jo telling her mother who happens to be the Dean of a University that she doesn't want to continue her study to be a physicist. She isn't happy anymore following that dream which was her father's as he is the scientist of the family. That same night, her mother is throwing a faculty mixer and Jo wanders into their library and spots a handsome man sitting there doing a puzzle, his name is Ellis, and works as a librarian for the College. One thing leads to another and the two leave the party and Jo loses her V-card in the back of his car. A few weeks later, Ellis who we learn is a single father to a 6 year autistic daughter is called into the Dean's office and offered a sabbatical position in France. One of the Alumni has passed away and has a massive old book collection that needs sorting valuing and cataloging. It's the experience of a lifetime but Ellis needs someone to take care of his daughter while they are there. The Dean offers up her daughter Jo who has experience dealing with children with disabilities. Imagine his surprise that this is the woman he can't stop thinking about and OMG she's younger than what he expected. The pair travel to France and sparks fly and it looks like the chemistry is sizzling too as both Ellis and his daughter love her, but what happens when Ellis's ex and the mother of his child - stops by France to visit? Will they get back together or will this be a fairytale bookish romance for Jo and Ellis? Sprinkled throughout the story also is a wonderful cozy mystery of love letters and why only second editions - when the owner of the collection could afford firsts? If you are looking for a sweet age-gap romance where a librarian meets a nanny with a side quest of cozy mysteries, then Second Edition by Cleo White is the read for you.

  Review: Punk 57 - Penelope Douglas - October 2016 As soon as I read Bully by Penelope Douglas, I was in love with this author. So when she released a new one who had my favorite theme of penpals and that whole friend to lovers going on, I knew I had to read it. The book started out with a bit of background where we learned about how Misha and Ryen were placed together in a classroom project penpal program. The pair continues to write to each other right through the year, and then they take it to the next level and continue through the rest of their schooling.
