Review: Everneath - Brodi Ashton

Looking for a teen novel that contains a rendition of Greek Mythology ?
Review: Everneath - Book #1 Everneath Series - February 2012
Are you a fan of Greek Mythology ? Love to read the tale of Persephone and Hades ? The one where Persephone found herself captured by Hades and then after a certain amount of time decided whether her life was to spent in the Underworld with Hades or on Mount Olympus. Reading Everneath by Brodi Ashton reminded me alot of the books "Abandon" by Meg Cabot and "Goddess of Spring" by PC Cast as they both contain their version of a contemporary rendition of the Greek mythology of Persephone and Hades.
In Everneath, we meet Nikki Beckett , whom six months ago - her life as she knew it vanished and she disappeared off the face of the earth and landed in the Underworld where she meet Cole. Now six months later, she has managed to escape the Underworld and return to her old life but it won't be easy as like most American high schools - there are rumour's ablazing of where Nikki has been the last six months and the most common one - Rehab due to drugs.
If only moving on and going forth with her life was easy as Cole has followed Nikki to her world from Everneath in the hopes that he can entice Nikki to return with him and take her rightful place as Queen of the Everneath but Nikki has other ideas as her heart belongs to Jack - her mortal once boyfriend.
The clock's ticking as Nikki has only six months to make the decision of a lifetime and if she's not careful, she might just make the wrong decision and choose the wrong guy .
Who will Nikki choose - Jack the Mortal or Cole the Immortal ?
Find out in Brodi Ashton's new series "Everneath".
