Review: Reservations for Two - Anne Patrick

Review: Reservations For Two - Anne Patrick - January 2013

After losing her husband Maggie O'Brien has finally got the courage and ability to leave the house and finally do something for her rather than moping about the house and constantly thinking of her one true love. On a whim , she decides that the only way to really get closure is to do something to release her love. She decides to head to New Mexico to an Inn where she and her husband had their honeymoon and being a lover of the outdoors and hiking, hike a trail her and her late husband had always dreamed about doing.  Her family thinks she's crazy, but she knows it's the right thing to do . It seems that God has other plans for Maggie and other ways for her to try and move on from her husband's death as he puts Carson Jennings in her way , he has just retired and is currently travelling around in his RV. The pair after an awkward first meeting where Maggie thinks he could be a serial killer or axe murderer start to hit it off and soon things develop from there. The time comes for them to end their trip and go home but what will their children think ? Will they accept their parent's new choices or will they be resentful and hateful towards Maggie and Carson ?
This was a lovely inspirational romance and suited for those readers who love to read about the older retired audience and for all those retirees who dream about travelling one last time , remember it's never too late to do anything and that you are never too old to have fun.
