VBT# Interference - Dakota Madison

Review: Interference - Dakota Madison - February 2015
Some authors you find their books are quite slow and hard to get into, then others you pick them up and keep reading and before you know it, they are finished. Dakota Madison is the latter. All her books are set in College Campus life and feature some sort of sports player that does not fit the norm of the world in some aspect. In Interference , we meet Sedona Miller - she grew up in a collective environment with just her mother Sunny and other families, and now at nineteen she is a college senior studying to be a NeuroScientist . When a klutzy accident causes her to injure her arm, she finds herself in a dire situation as her job at the library requires her to shelve books and the head librarian Alice hates her , so she is fired from that job. Desperate for a new job, she signs up for tutoring and gets paired with Jesse Walker who needs help in his History of Jazz Class. If he doesn't pass this class, then he will fail and won't be able to play basketball which is his whole future and the only thing he has going for him. So begins the tutoring sessions and as they spend more time together of course their chemistry that at first Sedona doesn't want to admit is there sizzles. As they study, Jesse gets all the questions correct , but his tests don't match that result ? What is Jesse's dark secret and why is he setting himself up to fail ?  This part of the book made me tear up and it 2015to be honest made me fall just a little bit harder for Jesse as it proved he wasn't just another playboy basketball player. Also in Interference, we discover the background on who Sedona's father truly is and why her mother hated jocks ?
If you love Geeks and Nerds are the New Sexy type books, then you will love Interference by Dakota Madison.
