Imagine if all of a sudden your life went from alright to worst in the span of a couple of hours , what would you do to survive ? For Ava- Claire , she has just found out the news that her mother's cancer has spread and that she only has about six months to live - not knowing how to cope with the news Ava runs to her safe and calming spot - "The Cemetery". However, tonight the cemetery for Ava isn't safe as others are lurking around looking for their next feed. Others which are called "Noctalis" which are half Nocturnes , half Immortalis. When she is attacked by one and saved by another, Ava doesn't know what to think but soon she begins to strike up a relationship with the one who saved her - Peter. Nocturnal chronicles Ava's school life, home life and her cemetery life but what will happen when she finds herself in grave danger from Peter's maker Di ? Will she have to be changed to a Noctalis to survive or will Peter find another way to be with her -forever ?

  Review: Punk 57 - Penelope Douglas - October 2016 As soon as I read Bully by Penelope Douglas, I was in love with this author. So when she released a new one who had my favorite theme of penpals and that whole friend to lovers going on, I knew I had to read it. The book started out with a bit of background where we learned about how Misha and Ryen were placed together in a classroom project penpal program. The pair continues to write to each other right through the year, and then they take it to the next level and continue through the rest of their schooling. Fast forward to high school Misha is in a band and Ryen is out with her friends and they complete a scavenger hunt form. Ryen is not what Misha expected especially from her letters.
