VBT# Fractured - Erin Hayes

Review: Fractured - Erin Hayes - June 2014

Twenty years ago, there were two little girls Bash and Lily. Bash seemed to be the favourable one and Lily the odd one out. Then an accident occurred on the playground and it left Bash blinded, years later the girls grow older and again Bash can never do wrong while Lily is still the naughty twin. The last straw is when Bash steals Lily's to be boyfriend and now the pair of them are going to get married. Lily has been forever haunted by "the old lady" and it turns out that when the girls were born, a deal was made with the devil and involved the second born Lily and now that deal is about to become collected as tragedies start occurring and death looms overhead.  Can Bash and Lily save those remaining or will they all have to die as there is no way out ? Can the curse be reversed or is there a way to escape it ?
Fractured was an interesting read, that started off as a bit of an edgy novel that further on readers started to suspect a bit of supernatural hanky-panky going on and then nearing the last few chapters it became a full-blown teen/new adult horror story and reminded me of the Point Horror books I read growing up and all the movies I had watched with possessed children and the devil's spawn.
If  you love Horror films and reading books that are out of the norm and realm of contemporary romances, then check out Fractured by Erin Hayes.
