Review: Unlucky 13 - Book #13 Women's Murder Club Series - James Patterson and Maxine Paetro - May 2014
Our favourite Women's law enforcement group is back with Book #13 in the Women's Murder Club series and Unlucky 13 will release a series of events that will have the foursome running around in circles and trying to figure out what the next step is. Like most of James Patterson's books, there are several plot lines running together and that doesn't change in Unlucky 13. One of the things I love about reading books now is that since most of the books I read are set in America, after travelling around their for a month - my heart flutters when I read about places and sites I have seen and this is what happened with Unlucky 13 as it is set in San Francisco of course and the place of the first attack was the Golden Gate Bridge which of course I could see from my hotel and I took plenty of pictures of the bridge as well. The first incident sees the team on the Golden Gate bridge inspecting what looks like Belly Bombs - is there a terrorist attack happening in San Fran ? The second storyline involves a killer from previous books MM aka Mackie Morales who not only got herself a position as an intern in the SFPD but was also a serial killer. Reporter Cindy is hot on her tail and sees this an opportunity for a major scoop - but will the Major Scoop be the death of Cindy herself ?
The other person that Mackie wants revenge on mostly is Lindsay Boxer - Lindsay now a mummy to Julie finds herself having to protect the one she loves. Can Lindsay protect the ones she loves dearly and still do her job ? We finally read and celebrate the long-awaited nuptials between Jackson Brady and Yuki C as his divorce becomes final and the two set off on a Romantic Honeymoon Cruise that is all but romantic when it is hijacked by Sea Pirates. Will this romance be short-lived or will they be able to put their Cop/ D.A experience together and help save the day before more people have to die ?
Reader's head now and check out Unlucky 13 as readers have to wonder as they turn the pages, will this be the last we see of "The Woman's Murder Club" foursome ?
