What would you do if your carefully and calculated plan to commit suicide came to a halt? Survive by Alex Morel tells the story of Jane , she is headed home to New Jersey for a christmas break. However she has other plans, plans that have been six months in the making. She plans to commit suicide and end her miserable existence. What happens though when while she is attempting, the plane she is on crashes ? Has a higher being intervened ? What will run through Jane's mind when she discovers that she is one of two survivors ? Survive tells us the story and journey of two people Jane and Paul - each have been affected deeply by the losses of those they love and each have had wavering thoughts about whether or not they should exist? Will Jane take the easy way out and leave herself to die in the cold or will Paul spark something inside of her that will show her that she doesn't need to die and that she is in fact strong.  Survive is a book that doesn't really have a plot and only focuses really on the interaction between Jane and Paul during their quest to stay alive and survive the blizzard weather.

In parts you will find that Survive is quite an emotional and gut-wrenching read as they both reveal snippets of hurt , death etc in their pasts.
