Review: The Cellar - Book #1 The Cellar - Natasha Preston- March 2014

WOW , what an amazing suspenseful teen fiction. This book was awesome , originally published on the free writing site Wattpad, the author Natasha Preston decided to have this book published on Amazon and it was truly amazing. I loved it to bits. The book starts off with Summer looking for her friend ,when she is kidnapped and brought to a cellar where three others are being held. Summer is the youngest there at 17 years old and she is the only one to have a family, the rest were runaways and over the age of 18. She has been told her name is now Lily . The others are Rose, Poppy and Violet and their kidnapper has told them to call him Clover. They are his family of flowers as they are nature's pure object. This book follows the girls lives in the cellar and also Summer's family and boyfriend Lewis as they search high and low for her or clues of her whereabouts. Through the story, Summer will witness unimaginable things and her life will drastically change and at the end she will no longer be the innocent and naive girl she was when kidnapped. Reading this book it made me remember and think about the case that happened overseas where it was discovered that three women had been kidnapped and held in a cellar for 10+ years - a scary thought.
If you love crime stories and dark edgy teen fiction, then The Cellar is one book that will have you engrossed as you turn each page and will leave you wanting more of this author's work once finished. An amazing piece that the author should be congrulated on as a debut novel.
