Review: Zoe Letting Go - Nora Price - June 2012
Im not too sure why as I have never suffered a mental illness , but it could be stemmed from the fact that my Dad works in this area but when it comes to Edgy Content I just love reading tales of Mental Health , Drugs and Alcohol but more preferably the category of the different mental health issues and disorders.
In Zoe Letting Go , we meet Zoe whom has been taken to the Twin Oaks Institute for girls . At this institute, they cater to six girls all with different forms of eating disorders. At first we wonder why Zoe is here as she is not as bad as the other attendees but soon start to discover through a series of letters she writes to her best friend Elise - why she is here and what caused her to end up at Twin Oaks. What was a scary thought about this whilst reading Zoe  Letting Go by Nora Price, was how easy it is to fall into the trap of an eating disorder and how by doing little things like limiting yourself to one piece of cake a day or setting yourself into a lunchtime routine can immediately end up resulting in something worse than your initial goal of losing weight but scarily enough as the mental illness takes over your body it can end in death - worst case scenario if you don't get any help .
Zoe Letting Go was an awesome and intense read and I look forward to reading more of Nora Price's and checking out to see if she has written any others along these lines.
Zoe Letting Go by Nora Price is one of those treasures amongst the hidden world of Indie reads.
