Review: Bomb: A Day in the Life of Spencer Shrike - J.A Huss

Review: Bomb: A Rook and Ronin Spin-Off Series - J.A Huss - February 2014

One of my favourite authors since starting book blogging and my reviews is J.A Huss . I first fell in love with the Rook and Ronin series and then when that was finished, I was sad at first but then the author made fans like myself happy as she released spin-offs of the other main characters in the books. My favourite will always be Ford, but this isn't about Ford at the moment. This time it's all about Spencer Shrike. He is the owner of Shrike's Bikes - the motorbike guy and the one with his own TV series and booming business. That is until some newbie down the road decides to steal his business by opening another Bike shop and if that's not bad enough - having a similar name. One of the storylines through Bomb is Spencer and his mates getting revenge on the other guy. But the main storyline is all about Bomb aka Veronica Vaughn. She is the girl of Spencer's dreams , but he knows that he is not good for her - especially right now with the criminal accusations hanging over his head which though no evidence was officially found - doesn't make it not true.  This novella follows Spencer as he talks about when he first met the girl of his dreams , the one he knew would one day be his and only his to the present time when he must figure out a way to make her stick around so that when he has his head screwed on - he can finally be free to make her his.
If you loved the Rook and Ronin series and felt like part of the family with the characters - then you will feel right at home with the spin-offs, so why not start with Spencer's story today.
