Review : Laguna Nights - Book #1 Laguna Beach Series - Kaira Rouda - July 2015

When Madison Alcott was in high school , she and her group of friends had the chance to become TV Stars when a reality TV show hit the shores of Laguna Beach where they lived. Back then she went by her first name Holly and she had a wonderful boyfriend Josh. All was well and their lives were going places as they hit the big time with stardom. That was until the night of their senior prom where Holly was rejected on TV when it turned out that Josh had been cheating on her with Laura - who at that stage was Holly's enemy. This broke Holly's heart and even worse was the fact that the clip was shown on TV and with the world of social media, the clip was there for everyone to replay over and over again. Holly fled Laguna Beach and changed her name to her middle name Madison and went to study at college - wanting to put the whole reality tv show behind her for good. Years later, though her mother got sick and so Madison returned home and eventually became one of the managers at Laguna Beach Resort. 
Now years later, Josh has returned home and he is a big Hollywood star and Madison wants nothing to do with him as he broke her heart once and she isn't going to let him do it to her all over again. What will happen though, when she discovers the truth about what "really" happened that night with the love triangle angle of Laura and the fact that Josh has never really stopped loving her.  Can Madison afford to re-open her heart to Josh and let him back in again ?

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
