Scattered Constellations: A Poetry Collection
Kindle Edition
2018

Scattered Constellations is a compendium of poetry which considers the theme of  love and its many facets …

I must admit I am not a huge poetry reader but my opinion has changed following the reading of this anthology.  I literally “loved” this compendium.  Ankita’s writing has a way of drawing you in and through her delivery, has you feeling all distinct kinds of emotions and in different situations.  I think this collection will be really appealing to younger readers, particularly the teenage element,  as it en-captures wonderfully what it is like to feel love as a teenager – the insecurities, the overwhelming and often heady emotions it entails and the first flush of love.  Ankita, in her verse, deals with all the facades of love, both positive and negative: love that is not requited, reciprocated love, love for the same gender and the opposite sex, as well as darker themes: i.e. manipulation by others, and the heartbreak of  love that can never be.  The beauty of this collection is that there is a poem for each of us, one that speaks to a person, resonating with them and our own personal experiences and take on the affairs of the heart.

An outstanding book which really changed my mind on poetry.  Ankita reminds me of a young Rupi Kaur in that she manages to capsulate in words and lines the power and beauty of love so succinctly and rawly. As Tennyson once said “It is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all.”  This collection is a testament to this – love is a chance game and sometimes it does not work out but as these poems show, it is one of the most powerful experiences which a person can have.
