Review: Sexy Beast - Book #3 Single Dad's Club Series - Piper Rayne - July 2017

An author that I am fond of reading as I love the banter that she has between friends and the way the characters relate and feel like a big family with one another. It's the last book in the Single Dad's Club, and at the end of this book, the club will be disbanded as Garrett will finally find an HEA and a new mother figure for his twelve-year-old daughter Sydney. Charlie has been busy sitting on the sidelines with a crush on her brother Vance's best friend Garrett for years now; she never had a chance though as Garrett married his high school sweetheart and then she passed away while giving birth to Sydney. For the past twelve years Garrett's heart has been closed to the idea of love, but now Charlie seems to have finally shown Garrett the light and given him a glimpse that he may be able to have a future with a woman and love again? Can Garrett open his heart entirely to Charlie or is he afraid that if he does, she will leave them too?

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost.
