Anna Finch and the Hired Gun: A Novel

Imagine living in the decade of the 1800's , a woman's job was to be primed and ready for marriage . For Graduate of Wellesey College , Anna Finch wanted nothing but to be a writer. At 25, Anna is at her prime age for becoming a wife and puts her foot down at getting married as she cannot stand the person her father has chosen her for.

While on a morning horse ride , Anna decides to have some gun practise with her father's Smith and Weston Gun . and she notices something moving and BANG goes the gun . Anna thinking she has shot a bear but in fact she has shot a man.

As punishment her father has hired a detective to look after her , unbeknowst to the both of them -the detective ends up being the guy Jeb whom she shot.

Although they have feelings for each other, they have difficulty getting along. Anna can’t stand Jeb’s attempts to squash her dream of writing about the infamous murderer Doc Holliday, and Jeb is annoyed at having to follow Anna across Colorado on her hunt for the very man he wants to kill.

Can Anna and Jeb put their personal vengenaces aside and will they discover what is right in front of their very eyes ?

This is the first book that I have read by Kathleen Y'Barbo and her writing style was crafted in a way that kept you entertained from beginning to end, I also enjoyed the references with the famous outlaw Doc Holliday as Ive grown up watching movies and reading books about him.
