As Young as We Feel - Melody Carlson

                                                               

We all have favourite authors and if your list is anything like me; it is a very long list LOL :) One of my favourite Christian writers is author Melody Carlson. She is a very talented writer and writes a mixture of Children's, Teens/YA and Adult Books. She focuses on a wide variety of different issues from relationships, friendships, family life, drugs/alcohol and one of my most favourite books by her "Finding Alice" is about a Mental Illness.

Imagine the cast of Sex and The City and add twenty to thirty years on them, what would they be like?

Today's review is the closest book that I can imagine the girls of Sex and The City to be like in Twenty years.

Forty Seven years ago there were four best friends who formed a club called “The Four Linda’s”, each member had the middle name Linda. When high-school finished, they each went their own ways. Now they are to be reunited on their thirty-fifth school reunion. We have Charlotte, the Hollywood actress who it now looks like she has reached the end of her stardom; her character reminded me of Samantha from Sex and The City. Janie , a big-shot New York Lawyer , Abby – the stay-at-home mum who spends most of her time between diets and Jenny Craig and Marley – an Art Gallery owner whom would rather be painting the pictures rather than selling them. When a tragedy strikes, these four girls must stick together and re-form the bond they lost so many years ago and help each other re-gain their goals in life from friendships, relationships and family problems. As Young as we feel by Melody Carlson is what I would call Sex and the City with Twenty years tacked on.
