Review: The Bitch Cup - Zachary Ryan - August 2023

I previously read a series called High School Queens by Zachary Ryan which was a series about a new girl known as The Marked Queen who wanted to expose the secrets hidden in their school walls and become Queen Bee. The series was a fun YA thriller set in the high school cliques of Queen B's. When I saw that Zachary Ryan had a new one out, I clicked buy now as I thought I would enjoy the book. However, when I opened it, it was a story I was familiar with, and then went to High School Queens to make sure this wasn't a re-release. It wasn't though as a brand new high school Lincoln High and a group of new characters and the Queen had a new name. In The Bitch Cup we have The Shadow Queen. Each year Lincoln High hosts The Bitch Cup where the new High School Queen will end up ruling the next Senior year. Everyone whose names are chucked in the cup, thinks they have it in to win and the goal aims to expose the others' deepest darkest secrets. If your secret is eliminated you are out, this year though is a twist as the elimination has been taken up a notch as The Shadow Queen is out for actual blood and is happy to wield her axe through anyone who crosses her. Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers.
