Heist Society- Ally Carter -2010

Have you ever wished that you could be a kick-ass superhero or Spy Girl ? Maybe coveted Harriet the Spy - I know I did , it was one of my favourite movies. If I take a look at my DVDs I own Relic Hunter , Indiana Jones Quartet , Supernatural and my favourite Spy Girl TV Series ...... Veronica Mars thats a bit like Gossip Girl meets Nancy Drew.

Today's book review is from Authoress Ally Carter , who is most famously known for her series The Gallagher Girls- which was like a secret spy school for girls. Today's review looks at the opposite side of the fence and is the first book hopefully in what could be a new series for her.

Heist Society - Ally Carter - 2010
All Kat Bishop wanted was a normal life , to hang out with friends, party and do all the stuff teens her age would normally do , so she run off to join a boarding school. However Kat Bishop can't stay hidden forever , when her Dad is in trouble - family friends bail Kat out of boarding school and helps her jump a plane to Paris. In Paris, Kat discovers her dad is being framed and for Kat the only way she knows how to help him is to discover who stole the paintings, then re-steal them and return to the owner -well current owner. With two weeks to solve the crime and return the paintings, we read as Kat and her team travel the globe and follow leads that will lead them right to the paintings. Can Kat pull off the biggest heist and what will happen when she finds out her families pasts are somehow connected to the paintings? . A book that is Part Nancy Drew, part Veronica Mars and a hint of St Trinians.
