Left To Die - Lisa Jackson

I am one of those few people who don't really have a specific genre that they like to read and then that's all they will either read. This is one of the main reasons , that I chose a general name for my site rather than Chic Books or YA Queen or ThrillerChickster. Today's book falls into the Mystery Category, it is written by one of my favourite Mystery/Thriller authors Lisa Jackson, whom I have another book of her's on my Review List to read - "Without Mercy" so readers keep your thrills on for that review when it arises.

Left To Die - Lisa Jackson-2008

Somebody is playing the Hero and Killer to a number of women. These women all end up in car wrecks and then saved by a handsome hero who turns out to be what the media is calling the Star-Crossed Killer , whose calling card is a letter with their initals and a star carved into a tree. Each time the initals inch together to spell a word. Can the detectives work out the word/phrase before more women are captured and killed. Jillian Rivers ex-ex husband died ten years ago or so she thought , so why is somebody ringing and leaving her messages and photos that all indicate that he is alive? When Jillian's car runs off the road and the tyres shot , is she a victim of the Star-Crossed Killer or does the running off the road have something to do with the husband she thought was dead. We read as Jillian survives a car crash , escapes death but when death finds her again will she be lucky a second time around to survive it or will the person who wants her dead finish her off once and for all ?. Left to Die is in a way, two stories in one. Left to Die focuses only Jillian Rivers Story and the beginning of the Star-Crossed Killer. Keep your eyes peeled for the sequel Chosen to Die as more people may die before the PD catches the killer and works out the phrase .
