Review: Sweet Venom - Tera Lynn Childs

Review: Sweet Venom - Book #1 Medusa Girls - Tera Lynn Childs - September 2011

Sweet Venom contains two of my favourite things - the first is Greek Mythology as the stars of the book are descendants of Medusa and they fight off Greek creatures like Minotaurs and Griffins and #2 is that the story starts off with separated triplets who are identical in all aspects. The other thing that I loved about this book is now that I have been to San Francisco was reading and visualizing the places in the novel and going -OMG I've been there or went through there. That's pretty cool as it gives you more of a better reading experience.  In Sweet Venom , we first meet Gretchen who is the only one who knows about their past and the fact they hunt monsters as her adoptive family brought her up as a Hunter as she lives with another of the descendants. Grace has just moved to San Fran with her family and the first night out , she sees a Minotaur and then all goes downhill from there - especially when one night she's out clubbing with her brother Thane and friend Milo and she is rescued by a girl who looks identical to her -that girl is Gretchen. After researching their past and historical elements, it seems that they are part of a threesome and head out to find sister #3 - Greer . However Greer's life screams perfect and popular. Can the two of them get Greer to take a look at the big picture or will she freak out and want to stay in her comfort circle away from the knowledge that monsters really do exist ?
Find out in Sweet Venom - an awesome first book and start to a series , I am looking forward to continuing and finishing.
