Review: How Santa Became Santa Claus - Jennifer Longe - Novemnber 2012

This is a delightful story of how Santa became Santa Claus.  It tells of Nicholas, a man who throughout his life has done selfless good deeds for others.  When he passes away as an old man, he meets God who decides to reward him for all his kindness shown to others during his lifetime.  The story is a wonderful retelling of the infamous legend and relays how Santa came to be known, how he got his magic and more importantly how he acquired his reindeer!

This enchanting tale is perfect for reading aloud to little ones on a winter’s night on the run up to Christmas; especially savoured with mugs of hot chocolate (marshmallows optional!) and read by the light of the Christmas tree.  Just wonderful for children and all those who still believe in the magic and wonder of Christmas.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments. The other thing I love about The Winston Brothers is they are all genuinely nice guys ; they may look like they had a bad bone and they have reasons too - but they are the nicest around there, and they have the best intentions.
