Review: Ugly Love - Colleen Hoover

Review: Ugly Love - Colleen Hoover - August 2014

In the world of Indies, you find yourself with some favourite authors and their books may make you laugh, cry , or simply fall in love with the characters. One of those favourite authors is Colleen Hoover. One thing though that I have learnt with reading books , is that you don't always feel what others may and guess what, there is nothing wrong with that. For me, I was prepared for a cry when I read Ugly Love as I had assumed after reading other's reviews that this was one of those ugly cry books . But I didn't cry, I didn't shed one tear . It however was a good book and kept the reader intrigued. This book is set in two different times - we have the past (six years ago) and the present (today) and told from the POV of the main characters Miles and Tate. In today's world, Tate has moved in with her brother Corbin and is attracted to Miles - her brother's friend and next door neighbour, this thing though is Miles gives off conflicting feelings. In the Past ( six years ago) we learn about Miles's life and why he is the way he is today and how one action in the past lead to him believing he wasn't worthy of love.  Can Tate help Miles and prove to him that no matter what he committed in the past, she will always stand by him and love him forever ? Will Miles finally get the courage to confront his past and therefore allow himself to move on with Tate ?
Find out in Colleen Hoover's latest release "Ugly Love".
