Review: A Life Freed - Book #3 Rowan Slone Series - Tracy-Hewitt Meyer - November 2014

A Life Freed, picks up a few months after the truth of what really happened to Rowan's baby brother Aiden came to light and what was left of Rowan's family fell apart. The truth revealed that her mother had killed Aiden and blamed it on Rowan and her Grandmother knew the truth but kept it hidden all these years and of course Rowan's sister Trina was a manipulative cow who wanted everything her way including laying allegations that Rowan's boyfriend Mike at the time raped her. Now at college and studying to be a Vet, life seems to be picking up for her but of course Rowan starts to wonder whether her life will ever be carefree and drama-free as she moved in to her help her high school best friend Jess raise her son, what will happen though when things get too tough for Jess and she up and leaves her son , with Rowan having to care for him as well as juggle her school and workloads. Rowan's sister Trina has been hanging around campus as she has joined a religious cult , this surprised Rowan as Trina isn't the same sister she remembered leaving behind. Things have been going good with her new boyfriend Shane, but what will happen when Michael - her ex comes back into the picture . Though they share alot of history, are they suited or is he pulling her back ?
I really enjoyed A Life Freed as it summed the whole series up and it showed that despite Rowan's upbringing and troubles, she always had friends she could rely on and sometimes though we may not choose our family. We do have to get past and accept the family dramas in order to really be "free".

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
