Review: Five Ways to Fall - Book #4 Ten Tiny Breaths Series - K.A Tucker - June 2014

One of my favourite things I love about reading certain series is though the books can be stand-alones as they feature their own set of main characters and story, is the fact that characters from previous books make guest appearances and if you are lucky one of those characters may very well be the star of the next book. In Five Ways to Fall , our main female lead is Reese who has been through a hard and rough life . When she was about 6/7 years old her dad abandoned her at a diner and then her mother remarried, cheated and remarried over and over again. Then she met the guy of her dreams Jared and they married and she thought he was the "one" until she came home and discovered he had been cheating on her with his ex-girlfriend. The latter causes Reese to spin out and lands herself inside a police station and she calls the one person who always had her back - her former stepdad. He owns his own law firm and offers Reese a job there and she can live with him in Miami - start fresh. Before heading there, Reese and her friends stopped off for a holiday and she met a guy that didn't end up as romantic as she thought - but thought what the heck as she would never see him again. Turns out it's a small world as the holiday guy happens to be her stepbrother Mason's friend and her new coworker Ben. For those who have read the previous books will remember Ben as the bouncer from Cain's bar Penny's.  After being rejected and hurt countless times, will Reese let down her walls and let Ben in ? Can Ben prove to Reese that when he's around her , he doesn't want to be playboy Ben ?
Find out in another amazing installment of the Ten Tiny Breaths Series by K.A Tucker with not One, nor two but Five Ways to Fall.
