Review: #Lured - Book #2 North Star Series - Jo Schneider - August 2019

I had enjoyed the first book and so continued the series. This series North Star focuses on saving students from ending up in terrible situations like they all had before. From cyber bullying to human trafficking to revenge based consequences. Kaylee Roberts is one of those young females in high school that is teased and treated terribly as she suffers from acne and not only does her mum want her to look stunning all the time, she is bullied by Alison - a mean girl at her school and someone she is competition with on the soccer team. Kaylee has always loved taking pictures and sharing them on Instagram, what happens though when Kaylee is friended by "funguy82" and the pair start sending each other photos including sexual ones. Soon , she is targeted and her photos held for ransom and are threatened to be released to the public. Kaylee has been catfished. On the other hand, Warren as a child was sold to human traffickers and abused. He then spent his teen life in juvie court and now he has been given the opportunity via Cyrus Black to help other teens not get into the same experiences that he had. Now Warren has gone undercover to the high school, to help save Kaylee - the thing though is the North Star team do not know that it is her being targeted. Can they figure it out before it's too late? Find out in Book #2 - Lured by Jo Schneider. I am now looking forward to continuing and reading the rest of this series and I also hope that Cyrus Black gets a HEA and finds his daughter.

Review: Steel Princess - Book #2 Royal Elite Series - Rina Kent - December 2019 At the end of Book #1, we were left on a cliffhanger of Elsa being pushed into the pool. At the beginning of book #2, she is saved by a newcomer to the school - Knox.  We can see some friendly flirting but nothing more going on between these two, but it riles up Aiden who still has this mindset of "if I can't have her, no-one can" especially since he is supposed to be engaged to Silver Queens. During Book #2 Elsa starts to recall some more memories and goes to Dr.Khan in hopes that he can open her Pandora's box and can restore her full memories of what happened before she was seven years old. We also catch a glimpse during this book of her past and why Aiden King's father blames her for his mother's death and why Aiden considered Elsa a ghost. Review: Dr. Strange Beard - Book #5 Winston Brothers Series - Penny Reid - July 2018 If there is a family that I love to read about it has been the Winston Brothers. This has to be one of my favorite book series out there as the brothers ; you can't help but fall in love with them all - with their funny quirks and their redneck comments.
