I decided that since I have a picture for Vampires , Faeries and Witches - I might as well get one for Werewolves as well.
Review: Low Red Moon - Ivy Devlin - September 2010
From the front cover to the last page, this was one of the most awesome werewolf novels I have read in a long time , Im not normally to keen on wolves in novels - Im more a Vampire Girl but Low Red Moon by Ivy Devlin had me hooked. From the amazing presentation of the novel with the cover and throughout the book -the start of each chapter had a miniscule version of the cover picture above it and everytime you came across the word moon , it was written in red ink and at the footer of the page , it had a small red forest design. It was amazing and if the rating was based on presentation alone then Low Red Moon would get an automatic five out of five. The story though as an interesting twist that the readers don't expect , Avery - the main character wakes up to find herself drenched in her parents blood with new recollection how or what happened , her parents have been torn to pieces and the only memory Avery has is of a glimpse of silver. The town of Woodlake has a history of tales about werewolves and this gets Avery thinking that it may have been a werewolf that attacked her parents. When new student Ben starts , Avery can't help notice that his eyes are silver and is it a coincedence she keeps running into him in the forest by her parents house? We read as the stroy develops and a relationship of sorts develops between Avery and Ben , the two are connected and bonded in an unexplainable way. It seems that Avery isn't entirely human either as every time there is a death her hair turns to blood red ?
Is it connected to her parent's death and did Ben have anything to do with it ?
Find out in this amazing paranormal teen romance and one of the top Werewolf novels I have read in so long.
