Review: Eva - Women of Strength Series - Adelle Laudan - July 2014

I have made it one of my 2018 reading goals to go through my Kindle/E-readers and read books that have been sitting on their for a while. One of the series I am going through is the Women of Strength series by Adelle Laudan.  The book Eva starts off with her having a crush on one of the buskers Jeremy we later learn but of course, like most things in her life she has steered away from relationships as Eva has a dark secret and if it was to come out, it could ruin her family's political stance and life. Eva Dennison only has existed since she was 18 years old and before that, she was Eric Langley.  When one of the potential designers who Tempest Designs are wanting to sign up to questions her about being a man. It sparks something in Eva, is she ready for her secret to come out? Is she brave enough to let the people close to her know the truth? When it looks like she could potentially have a relationship with Jeremy, what will his response be when she ends up telling him the truth of who she is? Will he be disgusted and that be the end of Eva's HEA or will he accept her for who she is inside and out and Eva finally end up with someone who truly loves her for who she is as a whole? This novella touches on the issue of being transgender.
