Alex Van Helsing : Vampire Rising

Wanting a Vampire read to read like our favourite little October Witch during the month of Halloween ?

                                                                Alex Van Helsing: Vampire Rising

Review : Alex Van Helsing: Vampire Rising - Book #1- Jason Henderson- 2010

Wanting a teen vampire story with a difference ? This Vampire Book unlike the majority of them is suited to those guys who don't really want to admit that they read Vampire Novels but have a secret stash of them amongst their car magazines etc. The story focuses on Alex , the book doesn't really tell us but I'm guessing about 15/16 years old and his attendance at a new school. However , strange things have been happening and I'm not just talking about the silly pranks his two roommates The Merrill Brothers pull night after night. Unable to sleep one night, Alex goes for a walk and wham he sees what he thinks is a Vampire, but he can't be right can he as Vampires don't exist.
Soon Alex is going to be transported to a whole new world and find out everything his father ever told him was a lie and that the real Van Helsing : Vampire Hunter , the one Hugh Jackman played in Van Helsing was his great-great-great Grandfather.
Now Alex must join forces to help save his friends when they are kidnapped by a Vampire known as Ice-Man . Definitely sounds like a villainous name out of a superhero novel rather than a Vampire.
Can Alex put his few months training to the test as he tries to save his friends or will it be too late and his friends end up a sacrifice for the rising of Vampire Claire.
