A Faerie Tale - A Co-Authored Novel

Wanting a novel to set your hearts and other bodily parts a-blazing , this Halloween read is an R18 tale of Faeries, Were-Penguins and Tasmanian Tigers. It contains graphical sex scenes which is why I have put an R18 status on the book.

                                                             A Faerie Tale

Review : A Faerie Tale - 4 stories in one - Authored by Paige Burns, Jodi Lynn Copeland, Rae Monet and Tiffany Aaron- 2006.

A Faerie Tale tells the story of four faerie princesses and their tale of woe and their missions to find love and somebody who will accept them and their fairy essence for who they are. Before their birth, a horrible faery Witch Hadera struck a deal with the King Ogre that in 28 years time, she was coming back for her revenge and would rule FaerieDae for eternity. King Luc , the faerie princesses father decided to make his own deal with the Ogre , that if his daughters hadn't all met and fallen in love by their 28th Birthdays they were to marry the Ogre.

Story One : Ring of Fire by Paige Burns : The first story tells us the tale of the faerie princess Darnina and her quest to find true love with Mateo. Darnina is the faerie princess of Nature and her mission has landed her in the middle of the jungle and her companion is Mateo - a Volcanologist. Can Mateo look past the trying to decipher what's causing the earthquakes and feast his eyes on his true love Darnina and break 1/4 of the spell. Find out in Ring of Fire.....whenever I hear the title Ring of Fire, I always think of Johnny Cash's song "Ring of Fire".

Random Fact : Did you know that titles are the only part of somebody's work that is not copyright. That is why there are so many books/songs etc out there with the same title.

Story Two takes us deep "Into the Arctic" with Jodi Lynn Copeland as she writes about Albinia - the faerie of symmetry, when I first read that it was set in the snow , I thought that she may have been the Faerie of Winter or something along those lines. Here we read as Albinia aka Erin is posing as a grad student writing her thesis in the Arctic cold. Her mission really is to get Finn to fall in love with her , however this is going to prove harder than she realised as Finn is also holding back a secret - one so dark that it could ruin any chance of love. He is in-fact also not completely human - he is a Were-Penguin.

Story Three takes us across into the warmer climates of France and into the world of gambling as this faerie is known as the faerie of luck ."Luck of the Draw" by Rae Monet tells us the story of the third faerie Nortia which means Luck . Her companion happens to be the casino owner Brice Ranger and their first meeting is anything but pleasant as he accuses her of cheating and to someone so full of luck Nortia is deeply offended. Can these two turn things around or will Nortia be the weak link and end up having to marry the King Ogre and trust me readers when I say that this ogre doesn't seem anything like Shrek - he sounds worse.

The final story takes us to the land down under , unfortunately it's not New Zealand but Australia . In Australia we meet up with Alida, the last of the four faerie sisters . She is the Faerie of song and has been making herself a career for the past year as a singer. Now with only a week left till her 28th birthday , she is running out of time to find her true love and if that doesn't make things more stressful, she is also being stalked and sent threatening letters. We read as one night, Alida has meet her match and hopefully her true love with Cyno Wellington , again he also has a dark secret and is not entirely human - no readers, he's not a were-penguin also but in fact he is a Tasmanian Tiger. When the two are discovered by Alida's stalker and tragedy strikes, is this the end for the newly-found loved pair or will Alida and Cyno's love for each other be so strong that it will heal the other and prevent tragedy from occurring. Find out in "Tiger by the Tail" by Tiffany Aaron.
