Review: Parenting with Spiritual Power - Julie K. Nelson - March 2013
Have you wanted to try and instill the way of Christian living on your children ? Felt the need to incorporate God's word into your daily lives ? Author and Mormon Julie K. Nelson has done her research and created a parenting guide that all Christian parents, no matter what your religion is that you should all purchase. Julie has picked some of the Bible's greatest stories from Adam and Eve to Joseph and his Twelve brothers and related them back to modern day society and what or how they can teach us to better parent our children with Joseph and his Twelve brothers teaching us all about forgiveness as remember if anyone should hold a grudge I think Joseph had the right as his brothers tore him away from his family, the ones he loved all in the name of jealousy, chucked him down a well and then sold him into slavery. Or what about the parable of The Prodigal son which teaches us all about the power of unconditional love in where a father had two sons , one was hard-working and helped on the farm whilst the other wanted to go out partying. The sons were both given their inheritance and the prodigal son went out and wasted his on alcohol and drugs and then when he had none he came grovelling home where the father threw the most amazing feast for him as to him - his son had returned home and that is all that mattered. It showed us that a parents love for their children is the strongest and greatest love of all times.
With many other chapters to help with all aspects of your everyday life as a parent , if you are serious about instilling the views of spiritual power and the power of the word/scripture into your family , then this is the book for you.
